"I think she’s a genius. I think she’s profound. Her intellectual grasp is as strong as her aesthetic sense, which are both as powerful as her artistic talent – and they are all equal to her humanity and emotional force." Helen Knode, Carmel Valley, CA
"Penny is an amazing healer. She listens to you and inquires until she feels that she understands what you want and need .... Many years ago I placed my intention in becoming a compassionate human being, and the White Tara that Penny created brings it into my home, my psyche and heart." Kathryn Payne, Vashon Island, WA
Currently PennyLea is working on a project for Saint Mary's College, Notre Dame Indiana. Her contribution to the new Spes Unica academic building presently under construction on the campus, will include numerous installation areas of painting, along with the design of a stained glass door and window in the Reflection/Meditation Room within the Spes Unica building. This project will be complete late fall of 2008.
In early 2009 I will be adding prints of all 64 hexagrams of the I-Ching, along with the eight trigrams that make up the Bagua.
I invite you to return to this site regularly, as there will be the opportunity to order prints of specific numeric yantra to contribute in bringing personal balance to your personal Vedic Astrological makeup. Fung Shui (which translates in Chinese as “wind-water”) is the Asian art of placement. Based on the specific prescriptive use of energetics attributed to five elements of nature (and the objects created from these elements), within this discipline lie the possibilities of changing or enhancing conditions in the lives of people, the structures in which they live and work and the land on which these structures have been constructed.
A Yantra is a geometric composition that reveals a particular energy configuration whose power increases in exact proportion to the abstraction and precision of the diagram. Used together with mantra, or seed sound syllables, each Yantra displays the patterns of force heard in the mantra.

Sacred Planets: A Hands-on Workshop in Numeric Yantra
Saturday, June 28th from 10 am to 5 pm, Boise IDTaught by PennyLea Mackie and Vedic Astrologer Dennis Flaherty
Yantra springs from Vedic traditions as a tool in gaining transcendence in consciousness. Used traditionally with assigned sound (mantra), yantra is the geometrically-prescribed visual representation of Divinity, including specific planetary divinities. These divine aspects are assigned form, color, number, sound and direction. Each planetary body has a corresponding numeric yantra, arranged as a “magic square” of nine divisions. Numeric yantra, or numeric yantra accompanied with appropriate planetary mantra, can be used as a practice to either enhance or remedy planetary aspects in one’s astrological chart. In this workshop Dennis will choose a planet for each participant based on their astrological chart and Penny will present a brief demonstration of corresponding planetary mantras, then demonstrate how to construct a planetary numeric yantra. The workshop will then focus on the individual creation of a numeric yantra and use in actual practice. Each workshop participant will leave with a beautiful self-created, matted 11’X14” numeric yantra and the understanding of how to use it as a prescribed planetary propitiation in your own practice. Workshop fee includes all art materials.
Class fee is $108 prepaid by June 13th; $130 thereafter. Space is strictly limited to 16, so reserve early! To enroll email pennylea@sacredimagespublishing.com
